I have a B40-5L 4.4:1, It seems that it was intended as a 7 cell motor. I want to put it in a free flight where the motor run will be 10 seconds. Would this motor stand up to a 3S lipo? Using the calculator on the Neumotor site these were the results for 3S: 9/6 folder, 85A, 760W, 62985 motor RPM, 91.5% eff, Warning:"Caution motor voltage near limit-check motor case temp".
Because this will be a free flight model the total motor run might be 12 seconds counting launch time and then the motor would be shut off and not run again for at least 10 minutes.
I couldn't find too much info on this motor other than the constants (Kv 6720, Io 3.82, .0044Ohms)
If this motor should only be run on 2S, what would be the amp limit for ten seconds?
Thanks for any info you can supply, John
