I have the same problem, it won't fit in my Bugatti Veyron either

The aston is a bit bigger, but mrs' uses that for the school run.
I'll have to a) fly in it in street, or b) walk it too the park. And hope the neighbours don't call the cops when I crash it into their garden or hope it doesn't start raining if I walk it to the park. |

Oh My. The beast is ready to fly. Here it is. Now im getting a bit nervous, its big fat and heavy compared to what im used to flying.....
I have the correct movements on all the surfaces. It weighs 560 ex battery, 170 for the lipo giving 730g AUW. I have hs65mgs all round controlling the surfaces. I have the park aero power kit and 10 prop. I did find a C of G on slippyr4s blog, which said 115mm from the LE. Is good for a maiden?, i know it said 105-115 in the instructions. With the CG at this place, my battery is balancing quite far back, i will prolly go with velcro, does this hold up?, the lipos are pretty chunky 2200 3s gens ace. Should i immediately slot the fuz, i notice slipplys lipo sits in front of the wing which would prolly be better. Am i likely to want to fly at 105 or 115 for 3D flying? I might as well make sure before i start cutting. Which gives better performance, i generally like neutral inverted, with the odd dab of down. Should i add a rudder-elevator mix? Thanks guys, PS hope you like my improvised balance, the gear mean it wont fit on any of my other balances and i have a few. |

CG forward will make it a little easier to fly, and than sneek it back some once you get a feel for the plane. I just velcro the batteries to the side, will probably be fine unless you are going to be doing high speed rolls. I added a strap to hold the battery as well. Will post a picture of this later tonight if you are interested. Rudder-Elevator / Elevator-Rudder mix - Wait til you fly it some and than add mixs to your liking. It will fly faster and not floatie, but it's still a foamie so don't sweat it.... It's a fun plane to do harriers with . Let us know how the maiden goes! (video - the first time out with mine) . cdee .

Nice landing, lets hope i get to the end of the pack and get to try a landing The elevator/rudder really are nicely actuated. I suspect its those hinges. No resistance at all. I added a little extra por around the hinges too just to strengthen it up. Would be nice is the ailerons were the same, a little extra work in the build but prolly worth it. Be interesting to see how it performs compared to my CY and Pitts, lets hope it dont scare me too much. |

What! no maiden video Jimbo haven't you got your #16 around still?
If it's anything like the other Telinks they are pretty tolerant to a wide range of cog. Do what cdee does and use a velcro strip and put a couple of slits in the fuse so you can put a velcro strap through it. I prefer to slot the fuse for the battery once I'm happy with the cog but I know many are happy with just strapping it. Is that your rx right next to your esc? if it is I think I'd prefer to have a bit more space between them. Also moving your rx and esc back could help you get a better battery position if need be. Good luck with the maiden |

I just stick the #16 on the peak of my cap with a bit of velcro. The latest firmware even allows you to rotate the video 180degrees so you can stick it under the peak of your cap. |
