Flying Lights are Good
I put lights on my X-350 a red LED by the left side of the landing skid, green on the right side of the skid , a flashing white LED near the rear of the main rotor shaft and one white LED by the tail rotor. Looks very cool - will try to post a pix this weekend.

Lights on X-350
Here are some pix that I took of my X-350 and hot-glued-lights, a little messy looking but very quick and easy - also I coiled up the excess wires under the landing skids rather than cut, strip and heat shrink cover the ends. The RAM 174 MICRO HELI LITES can be found at website: http://www.ramrcandramtrack.com/ It weighs 7 grams and draws 10mA. I used a servo "Y" connector in place of where the brushed motor is plugged into and then plugged the lights and motor in the other 2 ends.

heloguy.....lights look great.......it sure takes a long time to read this thread, but worth it for hints on set up for this heli......
i have been flying coaxial blades for about a year....i wanted to get a outdoor heli......since i live in oklahoma i need one that will fly in the wind.....the video in this thread of it flying in high winds sold me on the x-350.... i trimmed the canopy about a inch around the rotors. i also cut the bottom out of the canopy below the battery box.....this allows good air flow over the esc and motors.... i made a sling out of zip ties so the battery hangs off the bottom of the battery box......i can change batteries with out removing the canopy....also i can use 1300 lipos by moving them back to keep the same center of gravity. i hit a cable and it dropped onto cement from 20 feet altitude....i set it up and took off with no damage !...also i learned real quick not to unload the blades too fast because the blade striking each other scared the crap out of me......pault |

I am looking forward to your findings. For the second time my B motor is gone out of the blue. I do have for almost two months now the HK BL upgrade but still hesitant to start doing the mod. The weather is really nice and I want to fly instead of modding. I might go for a third pair of motors and leave the mode for the winter time. BL is a different animal and I can tell from my CP.
