Well Dudes,
That didnt take too long .............. my SK3 has a bad front bearing. Yupper ............. first the bad soldering from the factory, then I saw the excessive end play, and now after about eight 2 second prop tests, and a few no-loads ............. zero air time mind you ...........the front bearing is getting very harsh and has some sticking spots as well as making some noise. REDICULOUS !!!! I will do my part and add me some Marvel Mystery oil to it, but make no mistake, I am VERY dissapointed in this motor ............. for over $50, this motor should have done better !! |

Do you really believe that my little 1-2 second prop tests (8 of them) is beating on the motor ? PS, airflow is directed across the motor during my testing, not away from it |

Mopar,
Have you noticed any RPM or ESC temp differences between those 2 ESCs. Gryphon |

The ICE HV120 has more RPM with more power given on the same prop ......... most likely due to its lower internal resistance.
No difference really on temps though, as most of my builds get lots of cooling air to the ESC's ......... something I take time to ensure |

Sandy is gunna hit me pretty hard, she will make landfall South of me, but the spiraling of her will give me a 5-10 foot swell, and my building in NYC will not like that !!!! I am right on the water across from Brooklyn .............. one place they have described as "a catchers mitt for the excess water from the surge and waves" ........................ good thing I just finished wiring in my emergency generator at the house, 35 minutes ago !!!!! The only thing left for me to do is sharpen the 8 chains I have for my Stihl 044 Magnum (30") and the 4 chains for my Stihl MS880 (41") PS ................ here is me and Jurgen last year after a few beers

I enjoyed my SK3 untill I had a bad launch which broke my prop and bent the shaft. I can't say for certain whether any other motor would have survived without bending its shaft but I was suprised that it bent.

Bent shaft - Im not sure if the pic is clear enough.
