I use the Avroto with 12x3.8 and 11x4.7 APC slow flyers. No problems at all. I'd be very nervous about flying with these. Crashes get very expensive very quickly.

Re carbon props worth the money ? yes

Are they worth losing your weak point to save motor and frame ? no

In any frame you should always have a crash point , ie a weaker piece of equiptment that will break in a crash in order to save the more expensive parts , ill take breakable props that save motors that cost 10-50 times as much. You can of course use rubber prop savers but ive had props cut through them at high rpm.

I use carbon reinforced props sold in Paul's Flyduino shop:

They are stiff as hell and make a big difference on fast movements and full throttle climbs!

And they are def. worth the money since they come at ~2,10Euro a piece.
