Broken MFDlink Rlink Transmitter
Hi from Germany,
today I lost my plane due to sudden failsafe situation.
After collecting all items and some investigation it turns out, that the TX is only connected if closer than 1m to the receiver.
As I'm an electronic engineer I took a lock inside the tx.
I found the problem as the antenna connector was moving due to bad soldering.
There was nearly no solder material and the tx pin was just sometimes touching the pcb.
So I free some more copper on the pcb and correctly solder the item.
See the pictures...
!!! Before (original) … no solder material visible and bad or no connection
After my soldering…strong and 100% contact
After that I did a range test and the range was just 20m (1m before soldering, 18km last week)
So I conclude, that the tx amplifier has got damaged during transmitting without antenna connection.
Now I'm looking for a solution. Is there any Idea to repair the pcb by myself?
All smd part looking normal.
Receivers are OK tested with another pilot MDFLink.
Thanks for suggestions
