Idea
Columbus Ohio F3P Pattern Meet.
A friend and I are thinking about having an indoor pattern meet this coming winter. More than likely it will be at the four seasons golf dome in Columbus Ohio. This is the same venue they hold the JR Indoor Fest at. At this point in time we are trying to get a feel for how many people may be interested in having an event such as this. We are hopping that if the first one works out well, we can do more in the future.

Awesome!!!
I have been wondering when F3P would start. I have been watching the Germans for the last 3 years wondering why were not doing it. Big challenge on my end is securing a place to practice. Geneva is an option, and a good place for an F3P event. Chris!
I will definately do my best to attend. Flying straight or not. I hope you plan on a class us basic/sportsman guys. Great idea and I hope it works out for you guys. Atwood... You in! You should send out something to D4. K, I sent something to everyone I know. Both of them.,, |

Not to hijack but devin you must know the answer. Anywhere to fly indoor around the rochester area? Would love to start learning good f3p indoor flying so I can give a contest or 2 like this a shot. Have a decent plane for it just not much flying of it since only fly outdoors right now. Thanks

If you are going to start something I would like to know sooner then later. So i can allow funds, more indoor planes and time. As my flying needs a bit of practice to fly anything with precision. People to help and practice with would probably be the best thing to learn flying properly. I've also been wondering when regular indoor contests for the winter would be started,in OH. I hope something becomes of this.

I'd be interested! But probably not this year, and a 3 hour drive to fly foamies around with a bunch of serious people is a bit extreme.
If it were closer it would be ok. Plus I need to come up with a good plane and start practicing. Does sound like a good idea though, if a tour could be started with a series of competitions it could be kinda cool. Chris G. |
