Where are you flying at today stinkpot?
I will try to make Dartmouth next weekend. That is the middle school I went to so I know it all to well. Lol. I don't have a thermal plane, but I was thinking of buying my old Fling back from my co-worker for my Daughter to learn to fly. |

Dartmouth.
If you can bring your own Rx and 4 cell 123-A battery pack (that's the size the plane was balanced for), I'll bring a spare Gentle Lady. |

Somebody crash a plane for me, OK? That way it can feel like I'm there in person.

Grrr. Looks like the cats had other plans, and dumped a box on the GL's tail. I'll go, but I don't have anything to fly. Well, anything that I want to fly. I don feel like dealing with the Radian today.

You can fly my Passer, it's a real treat!
BTW, i'll likely be the only guy with long-ish red hair there. |

I did some winch launches for the first time!!
The guys were surprised I could nearly full-throttle launch the Passer, but it took it fine! I've never been in a large group like this, plus plane un-trimmed, changing programming and re-trimming, and not really being able to thermal made it all kinda intimidating. Flew the Speedo with a power pod for the first time. Darn near vertical! Quite draggy with free-wheeling prop though. Couldn't thermal it either (ya think!). So yeah, a small slope soarer with power didn't fit in well with the 12' R/E birds. Gonna hit Coyote hills in a bit...maybe take a nap first. |

You didn't crash my Quickie upside down. You executed a perfect inverted quarter-loop, and the ground just didn't move out of the way fast enough. I love how the wing dug out a trench before bouncing away in pieces. I think the fuse might have gotten buried deeper into the ground if the wing hadn't stopped it.
