I am beginning to like the way you think D-Man. Thanks for the info. Me likey Bouncy because I have seen way too much Crunchy Munchy lately. |

One could go into miniscule details / benefits bout how the laminar flow is more consistent over the rigid lifting bodies compared to the more malleable..... but that would get me too excited here at work and my "Nerdy Talk Anonymous" sponsor would be upset. So... I'll stick with Crunchy and Bouncy for now. D-Man |

My EPP experience has always been, unfortunately crunchy as well. I have had poor luck with the foamies.

That Total Flying video was awesome. I'm going back and watching all of the episodes now...
I've got an orange 42" "baby slick" sitting in a box here. I ordered it before I reassembled my 41" Edge, and I haven't managed to kill that one again... ...but I hope to soon! |

I have the 60" Extra Running A50 14XS V2.1 which is a couple hundred watts less and roughly 2oz lighter. If you look in the manual they recommend this specific motor. 5s 4000mah GensAce 5c Castle Phoenix Ice 75 Xoar 16x8PJN. Flight times average 7.5 minutes with around 20% left in the packs. It's fast and has plenty of torque. Packs are generally about 3mm from the wingtube.(Balanced aft for 3D) It's a good setup....I'd reconsider saving 10 bones and a couple oz. If I lived closer I'd hit up the 3D mob sooner than later and you could get a personal opinion on the setup. There's plenty of torque with possibly a tad less high end speed overall. It modulates well in hover and high alpha flight and I have no issues getting out if things get squirly a couple inches off the ground. However, I haven't had the experience of strapping MORE power in this airframe....that said I don't plan or intent to change anytime soon, it's an outstanding setup....glad EF recommended it. Hope this helps. |

For what it's worth I've been using these. http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-25c-4000-5s1p.html I wouldn't mind trying out a 6s setup. I have 6 brand new Haiyin 3s packs lying around that never saw any flight time. |
