I use it all the time without any problem what so ever.

Just do a range check but I am sure it will be just fine.

Depending on what you want to fly. If you want to fly octo, then you don't have Gimbal control. Everything smaler with 4 and 6 motors you do have gimbal control. GPS and alt hold are about the same.

Guys,
1) is present in YS-X4 the features RTH, or I only present in ys-x6?
2) There is a limit in 4 waypoint ys-x6. Are 4 waypoints with no limits as in YS-X4?
3) the software GDS for ipad/iphone iOS is only possible on the YS-X6, right?
4) I would use a long range data link but I can not use the system 900mhz, because used by the 3g mobile phones in italy.
So I would use the datalink module 433mhz, but I would use the scherrer uhf 433mhz to control RC. How should I do?
I noticed the Wi232 modules 869mhz, ok to europe, but it is not very powerful for long range..

1. yes
2. both 4 wayponts 200m but if you upgrade the 4 to to navigator then you have unlimited range.
3. the two systems use the same grounstation software
4. how far do you want to fly? I don't see Multirotors as longrange capable because of limitations on battery power? all my multirotors give me between 5 and 15 minutes depending on payload. how far can you fly in 15 minutes and come back? I can do that on any 2.4g radio with no longrange system.

then the standard has 4 waypoints, but are not unlimited...blocked to 200m. So would be better ys-x4 for long range. Right?

Are you sure? I had read that ys-x4 will have a GDS iOS in the future...not now...

using motors from 370kv, propellers 1655 and 6s 15AH battery 1850gr ... I can give 40-50min ... I have yet to test it...Using a 800mm quad frame with weight 500g...and I need to carry only a gopro with fpv camera and a small tx 1.3g 500mw. So maybe I was going to go for 433mhz as datalink and 2.4g with amplifier to control RC. But I prefer use the 433mhz to control rc. I do not really like the 2.4g to control long range.

I use the same software on my pc and Android for both systems. Ipad and Iphone software does not work if it is not jailbreaked, that is on the YS-X6. here I dont know about the YS-X4 but as I understand it is the same.

Thanks willie!

I really hope nothing happens (mine is still in china) sent it back for repair (long story)

I have lot invested in this ysx6 build and i dont want any problems on radio frequencies.

By the way what is your range using a modem and the ysx6 module? Im planning to extend the range (once I have it flying) using a 2.4 ghz signal booster.

Anybody have experience on this, while using a 2.4 radio?

I never fly the copter out of sight and I never have communication problems. I do use a 2.4 sinal booster when I do long distance with a Skywalker but not on the copter.

whats your setup on the skywalker? do you have a blog for it?or a thread entry? Im also exploring that possibility using instead of using the 433 lrs for around 2-4km run.

Please check your calcs again using eCalc. Make sure you change the pull down tab to Without Drive. I am sure you have made a mistake somewhere
