I haven't yet, but need to soon. With my motor upgrade, the stock props are seriously holding me back. They are just too flexy to handle the extra power the motors provide.
For more scale look, I'm thinking MAS 9x7x3. Otherwise, perhaps an APC 9x7.5 or even 9x9 would make it nice and speedy. |

Well I just did a power pull. I stopped at 3/4 throttle because I started to loose grip on the boom. With 1 zippy 2200 3s 25c I am using a suppo 40amp esc and the park 480 equivelents on BPHobbies website I got 420 watts. I didn't look at the amps since I almost lost it. I will do another pull in a few. With no air moving over the esc it gets hot fast. I hope I am not over amping it with this combo
I did see your motor mount method. I did mine differently but should be as effective none the less. OK, I just did another test and I hit 50 amps at 437 watt at almost full throttle. I haven't fire walled it yet but I am going beyond my esc's |

If you are using two 40A ESCs, I can't see that being a problem. With mine, individually, they pulled around 350-375W at about 30A. Combined, the #s drop a bit. I get around 600-650W at between 50-55A. This is with either a 3300 3S or two 2200 packs in paralell. Motors and ESCs all seem to be quite happy.
Your battery might be a limiting factor in your current setup. |

Not sure this is the case. The motor is rated for a 10x7 prop. these factory props are 10x10. max watts on the motors are 440watts and the esc's can handle 10 seconds of a 50 amp burst. Chances are I will be cruising around at a slower speed but I would hate it if the motors conked out on me when I am trying to use that extra power to get myself out of a sticky situation. My best bet is to get some 10x7 props or reduce the pitch of these if they will go down far enough.
