Man I forgot how sweet these look in virgin form . Even a bit beat up they still look great but nothing like the look of a new bird .

That can't be true unless you were overdriving the 2200 battery so much in your tests that you were probably damaging it.

However- he could have drawn the same Amps for a considerably longer time. I suppose it's possible that a temperature the motor can handle for 2-3 minutes would damage it in 5-6.

Looking good. Are you going to keept it matte finish or go for a gloss finish.

keeping it a matt finish, and a Emax ESC.
Need to get more paint, on my third coat.
Also barely blue for the bottom............

More updates on the paint and landing gear........

Does the thrust tube or ring help..........

The thrust tube makes about 10-15mph difference. It is noticable trust me.

Just maiden my A4, all went will. 3 1/2 min flight........
Bloody cold, -12 C and sunny, snow on the ground.......

Took off from the road with ice and flew the A4 around checking all the controls. No rolls or loops.... I did not use the flapperons.

One of the other guys I fly with Stu, brought his A4 and did a flight also.
Stu, is also a engineer with a aircraft company in Canada. Stu bought a used beater GWS A4 and rebuilt it. Damn thing is quik, and has some mods.

Those look like RCLander Pilot busts that have been cut down. I have used them before in other planes. FreeWing makes some decent ones too. The FW ones are a good starting point if you want to detail one to suit your needs. The RCLanders ones are a good drop in with no detailing needed. Here is a pic of a RCL Pilot in one of my old birds.
