What kind of pain in the ass am I facing if i want to install the batteries either into the side of the battery bay or on the wing angle... So as an rvosd could be used in the bay? Just juggling ideas for next build

Its not that bad, just make sure your batteries can reach your esc. Cut the batts in last to get CG right

as usual, a great response lol, thanks guys

One more possibly dumb question.... As per the control linkages that Chris sent in his package, I have one end threaded - obviously threding into the clevise. On the other end, do I cut it to length and crimp it in the clevis? last bit before im flying and i cant figure it

Hey Elliot get the rods close to the correct length and then solder on the slip fit side, silver lead free solder is the best

I'm uploading all kinds of vids so will check that out in a few....... had one flight this weekend totaly forgot about the turning on the hero2 part, but it was a heck of a flight. These things are beyond fun. an FPV zII is about as fun as i've had flying RC in 20 years. So this is after i flew it through a grease wood bush and about blew the cloverleaf off, i glued it back up and it seemed to be alright...

Congrats on the Z81 maiden Chris. It looked real smooth yet powerful and maneuverable. Post some ground perspective videos please. Thanks

Never mind about the ground view. I found the vids on the other Thread. Boy that looks real nice and big.

yo could do it byu hand or head,,, but i run 2.4 vid with the largest reflector crosshair there is..... the back s like 9"x9" and the front is the bottom 1.25" of a solo cup covering the crosshair part. I'm lazy and like the tracker, works bitchen

my quad has a diversity rx and a pair of small crosshair on it. works good too, i just move it when the reception sucks and it usually straightens up. Crosshair are 120 degree beam, but pointing it right at it makes a really clear picture
