CNC Machined Tricopter Center Chassis
I built a Cnc a while back and now i want to put ti to work. I have been very interested in Tri and Quad copters lately so i wanted to give building one a shot. This design is off of David Windestål's design on his tricopter v2. Full build Here The chassis weighs 133.25 grams (4.7oz) and is really strong! I couldn't break it if i tried. The slots for the three separate arms are .5" wide by roughly 1.75" long. This was machined precisely out of MDF and can be painted, sanded, and drilled later on. I recommend sealing with a paint before flying because wood soaks water from grass and that would make the frame swell

Make them out of G-10 and I'd buy one, CNC in the bolt holes too. 8^)

G10 seems expensive. I may try some out in some thin aluminum or somehting first. Anyone want aluminum around .05" thick?

I'll try a set if they are inexpensive enough. But, I ultimately want a set in G10 for my final product.
