Relaxing in Singapore
Hi John NZ,
Many thanks for your time and effort in producing and supporting the ZYX software.

I have used an earlier version and just downloaded the 1.22 version.
Question; I use a Futaba TX, how do I toggle between Condition 1 and Condition 2 on the first window. I have copied the two conditions to be the same to avoid any upsets, but using channel 5 switch on the TX has no effect (and I want to keep its function between rate and HH, anyway).

The "Cond 1" and "Cond 2" (above the connect lights, top right hand side) are buttons. Just click the button of the condition you want to switch to.

Thanks, Beenflying, I must of missed that in the previous posts. Is there any confirmation from the gyro of change or which Condition you are in.

Yes, the same buttons change color. IIRC the pinky/red color one is the current condition selected.

I tried to get my home made bluetooth adapter to connect to the android app, but had no luck. Firstly, when it wasn't pair to the phone it came up with invalid password and once I'd manually paired it to the phone, it came up with unable to connect.

I've ordered the ZYX one from Infinity, so I'll report back if I have more success with that one.

I've found bluetooth compatibility to be a PIA and haven't even tried it on the ZYX. However, it would be nice to have on the 500.

Good luck and keep us posted bf.

Best,
Ken

Thanks, Ken.

Unless I'm flashing firmware to the ZYX, I use the bluetooth connection all of the time. It's super reliable using John's app. Just no luck with the android app, at this stage.

Probably if I figured out how to change the bluetooth ID, for my eBay units, to "ZYX BT", they might work with the android app. I'm not even sure it can easily be done, though.

Hello !

Its about the TAROT- or HK- ZYX-S FBL unit.
I am looking for the pin layout of the serial port (4 pins) located at the side of the unit.
(... the port for the USB- or Bluetooth- cable adapter)
Generally the signals are like: VCC, GND, RXD and TXD.

But which pin is which signal ?

Thanks !

It's RS-232, so you have transmit (TXD) and receive (RXD),

Hi MikeHRC.
As i already stated i know that it is VCC, GND, RXD and TXD.
(... and of course know what the meaning of the signals is, and that it is a RS-232)

I was asking about the PIN LAYOUT ...

=> pin1 (left)=?, pin2=?, pin3=?, pin4 (right)=?

... of these signals on the ZYX unit (!) ?

(maybe my english is to bad )
Thanks anyway.

have a look here http://fbl.net.nz/info/bluetooth you will see the pin out configuration. If you hold the blue tooth unit with the aerial on the left hand side and the pins on the right hand side, components facing you the BOTTOM two pins are the Ground and +Ve

Cheers,
Paul

OK, just to be sure ...

Looking at the port of the ZYX unit with the ZYX-logo-label of the unit facing up
the pins would be (from left to right) ...

pin1=GND pin2=VCC pin3=TXD pin4=RXD

Right ?
