Hello,

I have recently put the FlameGear XL gimbal on a DJI F450 frame and have been unable to get rid of severe vibrations in the resulting video footage. We are trying many things but cannot seem to eliminate it.

Everyone else is posting nice footage so I know there is a solution but am at a loss.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I also have a set of X468 standard gear that I'm just now trying to assemble...with no instructions. Anyone know of a build thread on these?

I am finishing my assembly. Could you help me with a few questions?

1 How do I mount the assembly to the DJI frame? pictures of the detail would be great!.
2-is it possible to mount the landing gear at 90 degrees from how it shows on the picture? meaning, can I have the landing gear mounted so that the protruding tabs on the bottom DJI connection distribution plate are facing forward? that's where my FPV camera is mounted! On all of your pictures the tabs are mounted sideways which doesn't work for me.

sorry, i can't help you as I dont have a DJI frame

but I think I will be using some MKS servos on my gimbal

I have MKS servos on askman's gimbal ($130 servos )

but on this little guy the submicro servos arew only $30 so not that big of a deal and since this is direct drive on roll and tilt and the gopro will be in its water proof case the 27oz of torque and 0.06 secc/60* should do well in this application (either that or it will break the plastic screws!!!!

Jack - The frame mounts to the 450 frame by the protruding tabs so 90 deg is not possible - Maybe Matt will post some pictures of his 450 mounted - -

I managed to mount it somewhat. I'll post some pictures and you guys can let me know if it seems okay?

I just get some 1/8" g10 from mcmastercarr and make up a little adapter plate

I plan on using the mount under the OMGfly folding X4

so my little mighty servos just arrived

they have 0 play around center and feel great.... looking forward to testing it out

Here is my F550 with x-468 gear.
I put a Canon Powershot S90 camera on it and made a trigger with some CF square tubes and a servo. Also made a small pod for the GoPro
The x-468 was originaly bought for a Gaui 500, but I made it fit the F550

Hitec Digital HS 5065 and 5085 servos

I am getting some bad jitters on tilt with mine.... i am using the gopro specific plate which pushes the CG forward on the servo.....

I think the normal plate would have less jitters......

I only have had time to test it once... we will see what I can get it to do.
