Wow, shocking video for a foamie. Price is on the high side, but performance looks outstanding, specs look good with digital servos, 4s power.

There are no decent / PNP RTF 3D planes and this should fill the gap. Some folks just want to fly and not build.

Someone needs to do a balsa.

Thanks for posting!

I wonder if they will mold the wings correctly on this one? (yes, I know...that was Parkzone, but obviously this model is part of the same series.)

Seriously, it looks like a great plane -- I like the color scheme and design. Although, I wouldn't be able to swallow that price tag, and I am sure others won't be able to just for a foam model.

If you do the math (all prices from Horizon Hobby's site):

Power 25 - $70
AR600 - $60
ESC - $85
Battery - $75
Servos: ~$52
= $342

...the plane basically comes out costing $50. This is a good price, but what about for those of us who don't use Spektrum? Of course, we can sell the RX, but it seems like they are just trying to turn people off from buying it -- extra hassle and expense to buy one of their new models. And, I don't care that much for Spektrum servos, so they give you few options there also...

I know its not out yet, but I have mine pre-ordered already. :-)

Question about batteries though.
Im trying to have a few extras here and ready for when the plane shows up.

I know they recommend a 4s 2800, I was thinking about 4s 3300's.
Physically, the 2800 and 3300 are very similar; the 3300 is a few mm taller.
But, is the extra weight going to be any issue with these types of planes? (20g-30g difference).

Thanks

You should be fine I would think but I'm no expert on power systems. You may have to shave some foam out of the fuse to get it to fit but I don't think the extra weight will be an issue. I wouldn't go any bigger than that though.

Picked mine up today! Got it all assembled, throws, etc... It looks like a solid plane, and I like the setup. Not in love with the color scheme, but its not that bad.
