Dacono- very nice. I take it that your wings are reinforced with carbon or fiberglassed???

Wow Dacono, do you land it at 200kts on the hard surface too? Cool!
A buddy of mine just gifted (thanks David!) me his supertigre-equipped gunslinger and after flying it today for the first time and it being the fastest thing I ever thought I could fly, my respect for you speed demons has gone up another notch. I was so chicken, I even put a 6 channel in it to get spoileron programming. Two flights and I'm proud to say that it came home in one piece, even if I had to cheat to land it. Cool to have an almost windless day here on the Front Range. What expo settings do you use? --Jason |

6% Ailerons(highrate) no expo on low rate i am still dialing in the elevator settings...as you can imagine it's purty sensitive at speed. Ditto on the weather! ...and the video was taken by my sis. Thank You Connie!....and if you fallow her Youtube link she did get my less than perfect landing on video, i skipped it a little hard. |

My 2 cents
I always thought my BL was a little lacking in performance but I am a cheap skate. Well, the flight line fence forced me to purchase another motor last weekend. Darn plastic in HH motors.
Long story short. I put a Power Up 480 Zoom, 40 amp HURC ESC and an APC 9X6E prop(all from Headsup RC) on my Mustang. With a little finagling. Whoa! I thought I was going to break the wings off. I was so used to flying at WOT that I kept forgetting to back off the throttle when I came diving in for a low pass past the spectators. The stress was too much for me. Plus my flight time dropped to a little over five minutes. And the batteries looked like swollen pigs. I picked up some APC 9X4.5E at the LHS that I have yet to spin up. I hope that helps with my issues. With some luck I will try the new setup again tomorrow. Nobody should be at the field so if I demolish the plane there won't be any witnesses. I love this hobby but man it can go through some funds fast. Fly fast and furious. Rob |

May I suggest a 9.5 x 7.5 prop more commonly known as a T28 prop. It is awesome with either the stock motor or the Power 10. The 9x6 pales in comparison. |

Try the ME-109 three bladed prop with a 2200 MAH pack and have some fun....sure you will need a bigger ESC, my 35 amp one works well still...NO IFE's yet and no flames.
This thing really cooks.....for all you speed freaks out there. I am experimenting with Flaperons at the moment ,only one windy flight with them, so i am not sure how i like them yet. DX8 gives you wings! |

Anyone purchased the air frame kit from PZ lately? I'm wondering if it comes bagged or boxed and, if bagged, what kind of shape it might arrive in. I would probably order it through my LHS to save shipping. Thinking about putting the guts of my 300 into the P-51.
