Here in Indy, our elevation is only 760 feet AMSL, roughly. Indiana is pretty flat, we don't even have big hills. LMAO! Maybe a couple. Dave |

Dave....LMAO... Barry sold cars. You know, when he talks, you can tell he's got a higher than average IQ and I was thinking while listening to the interview..... makings of a politician. Sold cars? Kind'a a politician, promise a great car, and everyone knows what comes after that. He's really quite a multi talented person.

Barry had some tuff times in his life, like alot of us had, and or, do. At the time, he did what he had to do to feed his family. Barry is extremely talented. Politicians don't have a high IQ, they're just smooth talkers, and make you believe their smart. Look at the Obama and a lot of the other President. A lot of politicians never had a REAL job. Their speaches are written for them, it's not off the top of their head. Lordy, Lordy, don't get me started on this. LMAO! Dave PS... A college degree doesn't mean your smart either. Just a book learner. PS again, A friend of mine told me one time, You're not born stupid, you must have gone to college to get that way. |

My saying has always been "a college education don't make you smart, it makes you educated". The other is " no amount of education can compensate for COMMON SENSE". Being in the military, we delt with "educated idiots" on a daily basis. Not often, but sometimes we'd get an officer that had the education AND common sense to go with it. That officer was a pure JOY to work for because arrogance was side lined and he'd listen to the people that made things happen, and he'd fight for us. He didn't always win, but he tried...that counts too. Doing what you must to feed the family....BEEN THERE. Dug (by hand for a 4"dia pipe) drain pipe ditch to tie into the main sewer system at construction sites. The boss was too cheap to rent a ditch witch and the ditch ran 100yds from the building to the sewer main. Remember, for every "X" foot of pipe, the pipe had to have a downward incline. The further the pipe went, the deeper the ditch became. By the time we got to the sewer main, we were 5ft down. Not the best job I ever had, and it paid like crap as a "plumbers helper". |

LiPo usage...
I ran a test to determine LiPo usage on my Mini Titan SE. Machine is stock with motor and ESC as supplied. I did a sustained 4 minute hover with starting voltage = 12.4 and ending voltage =11.3. LiPo is HK 2200 Nano with about 20 cycles. I checked individual cell voltages before test and they were balanced. Best I can determine from LiPo charts is 11.3 ending voltage = approx 30% remaining capacity. Does 4 minutes of hover use this much power? I have been reading RCG posts where guys are getting much longer flight times on 2200 mA.

For what it's worth, I fly both 3S 2150 20C or 3S 2250 25C in my 450 Pro. I get 5 min of 3D flying and stay up for 5 min. When I land my cells that started out at 4.12 to 4.20 are at 3.76 generally. If I am having fun and I will stay up an extra minute making my total time up 6 min and that will bring the cells to 3.6 lowside. These batteries are nearly 24 mo old. I can tell you that hovering is harder on a battery than flying because the motor is being requested to carry all of the weight of the heli. In flight there is "lift" when in forward motion so that releaves some of the battery stress. Hope helps, Smiles JPEE |

Piper,
Along with what JPEE has mentioned. You have to take weight into consideration too. A Trex 450 SE weighs 780 grams, your Titan SEs weight is 852 grams. It doesn't sound like much but the added weight can make a difference in flight times too. Just more food for thought. Dave |

Piper,
The EXI 450 Pro Belt looks like a steal for the price, plus the free shipping is always welcome. It weighs in at 790 grams AUW, depending on electronics used. Weight of the heli, effects the disc load. The higher the load, the more power needed to maintain rotor speed. Happy flying, Dave |

Dave, I am "safe" but the beakers in Sac have 500 a pop signs every 1/2 mile or so. And people wonder why CA is bankrupt.
Here's a vid for your enjoyment.
