Thank's Mate, I never worry much about looks of the planes, lot of people on these sites laugh at my models, calling them pizza boxes, "Endurance, performance and reliability is always my priority"! I laugh after each landing especially the foamies landing with 4-8 kilos of lipo load itself. .
I got another laughing comment today from someone while walking with my "X-29" to the strip to take off, "the martians are here again!" |

"Big part is in my jets", after flying action in 3 different locations last few days I have lost somewhere my top battery hatch cover while packing up 4 model in the van! Only finding out today, when ready to fly the giant at my favored beach and going over and over every junk in my van, Bugger!! Felt like a fool because even invited a friend to do some filming.
Back on the bench, the sheet of Depron comes handy, new cover made up for tomorrow flying actions. |

How to easily the remove paper from DT boardQuote:
Secret 'sauce' . Just go by same place (Dollar Tree) and get a bottle of their Awesome Orange. Spray it on one side of the board medium, just enough to dampen it and wait about 60 seconds. The paper will come off easily and most of the time in one piece. If not dampened enough, will be a bit harder to pull off, and if too much will tend to tear more. I used to spray it with anything from water and alcohol to soapy water, but there is something in that Awesome Orange that lifts it off super easy. |

Hi, I'm new here, does anyone know if this Depron is good? I've only seen gray in 3mm and 6mm on the internet. I think it is sold in the UK.

Not sure if it's the same product but have some 6mm 'grey' sheets I got from the same Depron supplier years ago, and found the grey ones much too soft, with out any strength.
I have used them only in lamination in between white sheets where triple layer was required. |

Depron in post #30 has been sold
The depron shown in post #30 has been sold to a RC Groups contributor and very innovative modeler in southern CA. By cutting some of the sheets in half we were able to get a much better shipping rate from UPS. All the shippers really beat you up on retail shipping rates for something like large sheets of depron. Fedex and UPS were about the same. I opted for UPS since they have a customer center nearby.
Thank you to all who expressed interest in the depron. Too bad we didn't stock up when it was available. I doubt anyone anticipated we would lose our only dealer in the US. Similar situation with the 1# density styrofoam we like to use for cutting wing cores, etc. Locally, all we can get are 4' x 8' sheets, 2" thick, although the quality is excellent. I have managed to cut cores for 6 EDF jets from 2" thick but prefer having more thickness to work with. Recently I was fortunate to get a large 48" x 48" x 6" billet of virgin 1# density EPS from a modeler who is retiring from building. Have been visualizing exactly how to best use it. I like large EDF/Turbine jets but still have plans for at least one more large scale airplane with that peculiar apparatus on the nose that bores holes in the skies and makes a lot of noise. Sam |

RC Depron recently moved to the Waco, TX area.
https://www.rcdepron.com Only about 95 miles from me, so I recently ran down there and picked up a group buy of two cases of 6mm and two cases of 3mm. Saved a good bit in shipping. |
