Or epoxy brushed on using "acid" brushes found at hardware stores, used to put flux on copper pipes while soldering. Stick the brush on a piece of wooden dowel rod and brush it along the spars/wing tube in the wing. If you want, you can thin the epoxy using isopropyl alcohol that you can also buy at a hardware store...(not rubbing alcohol, as it has too much water in it)....

So....like I said when I first flew my 74" Edge with the Hacker A60-5S on 8S.... "OH HELL YESSSS!!! I flew my Extra today for the first time with my A60-5S in it, and it is GREAT!! Plenty of power balances perfectly, pulls out of a hover very well, and on a five minute flight, with lots of verticals etc....only took 50% out of the Thunder Power 4S 45C 4400mAH packs (X2 for 8S)!!!

Nice. I guess that means 7-8 minute flights are totally doable. Is the power ballistic, or just "plenty" powerful?

In the other thread there is talk that the slow boat has arrived. Hopefully there are some 72" extras in there. *Fingers crossed*.

1/2 throttle the plane was ripping across the sky, and verticals were out if sight. Granted it may not be enough for "some" people but then 5000 watts would not be enough for them...

Man, I've only been waiting for a month and it's still excruciating. I can't wait for the container to arrive so my airframe can get shipped.
I bought the Hacker A60-5XS at the AMA show 2 weeks ago and they recommended a 18x10 or 17x12 prop. I also bought the servos and everything else I will need. Now I just need the plane!!

5S and 5XS are two completely different motors. 5S 295KV, the 5XS, 420KV. Personally, I wouldn't use that motor in a 72" Extra unless you are just wanting to scream around the sky. I have it in my 70" Velox, but I used it in that plane to give me the ground clearance for the prop in the Velox, and it is killer in that plane (though I believe I am going to go down to an 18X8 prop). However, this is just my preference. YMMV....

Depends.. If you need the weight up front is the motrofly 5320 300kv. The other motor choice is the 4320-300.

have to say after watching wamsy's video and talking to him, the 4330 would be perfect, 4325 would be the lightweight choice. 4320 too light IMO

agreed, the video speaks volumes. if my ol' A5012L ever craps the bed I'll likely do the 4330.

I also went with the heavier setup of 5320 on 8s. Wamsy setup is also nice and he throws it around with that motor.
