first benchtest with about 8.000 watts was okay (was only the small 4235 sized motor)
reached 13.200 rpm without problems.

afaik stefan still has some of these crazy middle parts available.[/QUOTE

great work done
I like it :-)

Reckon an 8 blade sawtooth would look pretty cool

Really nice work man, will we be getting a video?

scorpion-fan , how is the performance/thrust/pitchspeed when compared to 6/4/3/2 blades, whats the curve: rpm, thrust, efficency ? is there any, Im very interested in that sort of comparison with same blades but only difference is how many of them..

Idea is cool but I think they explode at the power needed for this setup to be fast. And for an 8 blade setup u need plenty for sure. But the looks would be killer
Reminds me a bit on this : http://jamesbond007.net/Images/seadrill.jpg

I think it might be something worth experimenting with regardless. It may not break speed records due to max power limitations but It would be incredibly quiet and efficient. Possibly something for UAV's.

Whats the chances of getting one of those yokes?
