I've made the most sunset videos with my red 48" Extra. for some reason, even though red is bad in those conditions, I don't seem to lose orientation. maybe it's the way the bottom of the plane is covered with the big checks.

Love the checks. Doc, you got me into the little 41" 3DHS edge back when. Those were some great videos. Must check out your EF videos now.

Glad you're really doing some research to find the best one for you. One thing is though, all the EXPs are sooo well rounded. While each is better at one thing than the other none of them(that i've flown)have had any bad tendencies that would bite you. I swear when i look at the EXPs its exactly like looking at twisted hobbys crack series. The same advice applies here as you would give to someone asking about the TH planes. Get the Edge if you are a novice, get the one you like the looks of if you are a little more experienced because they all fly great.

Of course if you have a preference the MXS=crack yak, Extra=Xtra Slick, Edge=Edge, and i still haven't got my hands on a Laser yet but it's on my list

Thanks for that..great advice. I'm sold. Can't wait to get my hands on one. Good explaination re similarities. I do like the crack yak, so the MXS will come hot on the heels of the Edge... look forward to your upcoming Laser flight report :-)

Anyone got some flight reports on the yak exp from last weekend? Curious as to where the 48" fits in.

I'm sure I'll have to get one, wherever it fits in.
Kindof curious if a "mid size" Yak will be headed our way one of these days

I flew the 48" Yak at Joe Nall this year, and I love that plane! It is very precise (especially for a Yak) and does some really crazy 3D stuff. I think it is one of my favorite of the 48" series being that it has such a good blend of all the strong point of the other EXPs.

Definately a must have

Its a 54 so its a two seater.

I'm curious as to the pitch authority with it. I'm guessing its really close to the extra ans laser.
