Has anyone that has flown the plane taken any measurements for the control surfaces?

What degree of deflection for full throws?

I stopped building mine at the point of cutting in the aileron servos because I think the MG-14's with stock arms yielding only 20* of aileron is not enough.

May not be enough on the elevator either.

I'm thinking a change to larger servos (aka Twisted's 18g) and extended arms is in order.

I increased the aileron throws on my transmitter to 150% with HS65 MG's. MUCH better. I don't have a throw gauge but I'm guessing I get at least 30 to 35 degrees now. My servos are mounted vertical. I wonder if you would get any more throw mounting them horizontal?

More aileron deflection would be nice even tho mine is doing some nice 3d with the standard arms that come with the th 18.8 gram servos

The elevator is fine with the 18.8 servo and the long servo arm that comes in the kit.
Il post some video tonight and it will give you an idea what the standard set up will do

I was running a 10 x 4.7. I had to small of a motor on it and was running an 11 x 7 and the motor was burning up. so to be able to fly, i put a 10 x 4.7 on so i did not burn up the motor. i have the right motor coming. Was just bad motor planning on my part.

My CG is closer to 105 or 110 and seemed to be balanced well. I still only have 5 flight on this bird and will better know my Cg liking after a weekend of flying the Sbach. I'll let you know.

Thanks Brad. and thanks for all your help with the video!!!!

Good going Shawn, I enjoyed that. Didn't look like you any problems with low throws, is that as it was or did you get more throw out of it? the roll rate looked fine.

WOW! awesome Video Shawn. Thanks for the motivational Flying.
I crashed my Sbach Pretty hard today behing that barn in my vid. Stupid ar6200 Rx browned out on me while I was attempting an "Elevator". It Nose planted from a good 80-90 ft. One thing good is that my trims was spot on, for that sucker went litarally straight down.

Thanks Dan. Every thing is standard "out of the box" for the video. I will be adding longer aileron arms for more throw. Mainly personal preference, but as you can see its good with the standard set-up.

Don't feel to bad. I handed the radio to a friend and we did the same maneuver from about 50 foot. My fault. I put it in pretty hard just prior and did not check things out. Elevator let lose so my friend had no control.

On the bright side…..very little damage and what there was can be fixed very easly with welders and 5 minutes. Gotta love EPP.
