Prof, my blog deals with catastrophic situations, where the helicopter won't fly. With TBE, you should still be able to fly, so my blog may or may not help you. I'd like to assess if the TBE you're seeing is mild, medium, or huge. How big would you say the circle it is making?
Have you replaced any parts? If so, what are they? Have any parts come off during the crash that you have to reinstalled? If so, what are they? I'd like you to check the Connect Buckles (those dog-bone shape links) carefully. The O-ring of each end of each link should be sitting squarely on a ball joint. Make sure that none of them has gone passed the ball and is hooking on the arm of the ball. Otherwise, back them out and reinstall them ON the balls. If that doesn't help you, how many connect buckles are there in the head. If there are two, take one off (completely) and try flying it that way. If that doesn't take care of the TBE, replace the link you took off and then take off the other one. That's enough for now. Try those things and let me know how you're doing. Stay tuned, illustrated pictures to follow... |

Possible cause of TBE
As I was saying in my last post. TBE could be caused by bad installation of connect buckles. Or, they could simple be knocked out of place in a bad crash.
Check out the pictures below. The first picture shows how a connect buckle is properly installed. The 2nd picture shows how it is improperly installed, and would most definitely produce TBE. Check each and every connection point! ImagesView all Images in thread

Ah, so Bill, you did find something, and I wasn't far off. Now 4-6 inches is a tiny circle for TBE. I would chalk that up as air turbulence, unless your helicopter is doing endless quick circles that you're not able to fly out of. Fly it some more and let the links work themselves out a little. If it still bothers you, and if you could upload a video of it, I'd be happy to look at it and perhaps make another suggestion.

You are the master. Too bad it can't be added to an FAQ at the start of the thread. You should definitely add the TPE to your blog. |

That would be a great reference for you (and others) to point to if you posted it on your blog.

If the replacement battery meets all of the requirements about, and weights around 4g, you are golden. Just solder the 2 leads onto the PCB and you're done. Alright, I have created a new blog entry for TBE. Please check it out. If you find it useful, reference it when you're helping someone with the TBE blue in the future.
