the 500kv might not translate to much more actual static rpm after you add that bigger higher pitch prop. Sure once the prop is unloaded in level flight you'll have more but the higher the KV for the same size motor the less torque you'll get. The torque is the grunt to get that bigger prop spinning. But, you never know it might be the best combo out there, I hope someone tries it and reports back here.

Well it needs to perform on a plane 33% heavier otherwise all the Gee Bee folks are going to look to upgrade....lol Besides, Im talking about using the 5030 with the 3000kv motor. More RPM=More thrust and forward speed. Again assuming the Hyperions are up to the task : ) If im not mistaken, the performance on the V1 motor is better with the 5030 than the stock prop was. Same holds true for the V2 motor. We will see : )))))

very true, but I doubt the geebee will have very good vertical performance, top speed for sure but I bet if pointed up for long it'll quickly slow and probably fall. If I had easy access to an optical tach I'd order a 3000kv and test it though.

We shall see. i also have a 5043 but my guess is that the hyperion 240's will not be up to the task. They are selling the Gee Bee with the 5.25x 3.5 and running it on a junky 200mah eflite 2s. Im really liking the 5030's chances as it should yield a tad more runtime and RPM.

If everyone settled on being "content" we would all still be living in Spain : ))))
Whats wrong with living in Spain, been there, nice country/people, with great places to fly?

Are the 210 miniaviations lipos to heavy or do they work pretty good compared to the nano tech 180 2s?

Hyperion has the 180's and 240's already made to order, why go elsewhere?

Not sure how to compare them. They weigh approx 13 grams and they are awesome! I'm startling to lean towards MA over Hyperion recently.

My latest madness.

RTF Hyperion 2S 180s & 240s for $12.95 ea.

I'm stripping the new stock Hyp UMX packs down and covering them in my thin clear PVC shrink.
They are much thinner and lighter.
The 2S 240s easily fit in the V1 Beast or B3D.

Should be ready to ship next week.

Stock 2S 180 weights:

BB 2S 180 weights:

PM me anytime for ordering details or questions.
