I have several kk boards in different multi's and they work with analog servos in my tri's....... quite well with differnt fw, I have been thinking about putting my hk kk board in a foamy to see if I can get a hands off hover... ha...ha..
I don't think you need any special servo for the kk board.. |

I had a digital blue bird bms on my tri and it twitched so much after the kk was armed. I took it off and went back to an analog which works fine.

Hi friends, ( Second time I am posting this message)
It is really fascinatting to see KK multicopter development. As many fans dream... I too like to have compass, accel, baro and GPS options. Any body has 'C' source file for the KK multicopter.... Pls provide me. I will experiment, if I succeed I can share with our KK multicopter community. Also I like to know anybody has comparision of all flight controller boards? Which has better stability??? Thanks Dominic |

I have just one comment about quads...
If yours has not yet looked like mine does in the picture below, then you're playing it too safe! Lol kidding mostly, but I just got back from a freaking fantastic FPV practice flight... actually a couple. She flies just amazingly stably now compared to how she was, and even on my high rates setting at times I thought she was a bit too tame. I'm used to her being wild in the pitch and roll, so now it just feels weird because I can sit still or float along at 1mph just so easily... It feels like even if I do ram the stick forward, I won't get much. It's not true, believe me haha. I may go and up the rates yet more now that she's flying so beautifully. Anyway, just wow... Speed runs, circle strafes, in place hovers, inspection of various low and high objects... this run was really impressive. I finally ended it by snagging a tall weed, flipping over, and breaking that arm, but I must have gotten about 20 minutes of footage before that happened... GOOD footage. Funny thing was, I didn't go out there to get footage in the first place - it was only just a flight training session. I only recorded the FPV feed just in case she got out of control and a little lost in a crash. So, I didn't bring my voice recorder and didn't bring my Canon T2i for intro and outro, because I never intended a video for upload from it. Seems very ironic to me now after doing so very well on these two flights. Or, to summarize: I LOVE MY QUAD!!! Stupid noob question, please bare with me.
My first quad was GAUI 330x, and now i am advancing to KK. There is a 1 issue i could not find answer too, may be because it is too obvious for everyone except of me :-) In 330x, when connecting motors to ESCs, 2 of them should have switched negative and positive wires, i.e. negative of ESC to positive of motor and vise verse. Is it true for every quad? Is it an only way to make motor spin in other direction or other flight controllers do it by themselves without a need to switch wires? Thank you. |

Brushless motors are three phase motors. If you fire one up and it is turning in the wrong direction simply disconnect any two of the three wires between the motor and ESC of that motor and switch them. The motor will turn the other way.

The pairs spin opposite each other and thus cancel out torque rotation on the quadcopter. All four motors will be spinning counterclockwise, and because of this, torque rotation becomes a big problem. The problem is resolved by angling two opposite pairs of motors by 12 degrees AGAINST the torque spin direction. This cancels the torque rotation while still allowing yaw control, and allows one to stick to purely the cheaper and more easily available tractor props. My motors are currently all hardwired, but I'm going to put bullet connectors on just those two motors that I need to un-reverse. This way, should I decide that all CCW props is not for me, all I have to do is pull the connectors apart and switch wires on the two motors, and then change the angle of the motors back to all vertical, and I'm back where I was with push and pull configuration.
