There is most definitely a thrust tube! It's just clear
Factory has indicated this is just a test scheme. There will definitely be several color options available, starting w/ some retro schemes that were on the old Sniper, and some sweet new ones we're workin' with! |

It's a busy weekend w/ the Jet Rally. Plus it does take time to process/upload footage. It flew. Very well. You'll just have to trust me on that one. We're working feverishly with the factory as I type; they're just as excited to see the pics and vid as everyone else. I promise to get some goodies up here on RCG very soon! Regards, Vic |

Pics from AZ Jets!
Okay guys, as promised, here's some pics of the Super Sniper XL90 from AZ Jets.
She flew very, very well, and I got a good feel for her performance envelope. Keep in mind that this is the prototype, and a few minor changes are being requested, but overall I am very pleased with the way this model went together, and even more excited about the way she handles! I think this is "the one" many people have been waiting for... a true 150+mph Sport-Type Jet that doesn't require you to take out a 2nd mortgage!!! Build thread to follow soon! Easy as can be, and very predictable!
I tested Landings in all 3 configurations (No Flap, 1st-notch, and Full Flap). There was no trim change at any of my CG settings with flap deployment, and she handles exactly the same in any configuration... only thing that changes is how slow you can take her! No Flaps: She came in pretty hot w/ no flaps deployed. Even though the airframe has a pretty big wingspan and alot of lifting surface, she's super clean and didn't bleed off speed too quickly. No Flap landings put me over the threshold at about 40-50mph. 1st-notch Flaps: This is what I would use for windy or X-wind landings. Dropping the first flap setting helped slow the bird down and made for very scale-like landings at about 35mph. Full Flaps: I have a pretty aggressive Full Flap setting right now, and dropping them definitely helps her slow down! It's important to keep the descent when using full flaps, and flare only when you've made the runway and you're ready to set her down. Full Flaps let me coast her in at right around 25-30mph. |
