Too long to search, so hope someone has modified their motor due to the original crappy one.

I am wondering about the proper thrust angle. Mine had flown easy with a 2200, but after the motor change, it's had issues. The most significant one is that after I throw it, and hit throttle it pitches down violently. Elevator goes up and down appropriatedly, like it did before the motor change.

After making the thrust angle look more like stock it did the exact same thing today, and as I was looking at it after a nice bump on the nose, I noted that the elevator servo is loose!!!!!. SO I am hoping that helps once I fix it, but still wonder if anyone has an answer for the proper thrust angle. I switched to some tower hobby outrunner I had available.

Thanks
If you mounted the motor higher above the wing you may need to tip the back of the motor up a lot to avoid the nosing over.

If the motor you added has a lot more power, you will need to launch with less power because the "nose down from hitting the gas at low speed" problem will have even more gas to cause the problem with.

Yes the #11 from this thread with the version 2 firmware. Got to say I love this cam for what it is and the price. Great quality and wiper simple to mount on almost anything compared to my gopro.

Well, fixed the servo, rechecked the CG which was actually a bit forward. Bit the bullet threw it and it took off quite nice. Had to trim down the elevator, and it flew like the floater she is.

Thanks

Anyone ever use this motor from hobbypartz?
http://www.hobbypartz.com/93a16-09-motor2600kv.html

2600kv/2750kv (hard to tell based on title and listed specs)
78g
Max Efficiency: 30-35A

Seems like it might be a great upgrade with the 5x5 or 6x4 prop.

I have the RCTimer 2826-6 2200kv on my AXN. With a 6x4E it performs well without FPV gear. Mine will not climb vertical.
