ProtoCX and ProtoMax
ok, so this is mainly for the guys located in the US - only half of it is Coax and its only a "rebranded" NE ... but maybe some of you guys are interested in this:
Revell proto CX: http://www.liquidrc.com/index.php?ma...ducts_id=64818 Revell proto Max (single rotor): http://www.liquidrc.com/index.php?ma...ducts_id=64844 considering that they both are only 99cent shipping in the US if I understand the site right, they look like really good deals. E2 |

I need more down elevator. Is EPA possible with Bravo III?
Thanks to this brilliant forum I've got my BIII trimmed out (using sub-trim) with rock steady hover & it's flying well. I broke & replaced the "Under T Shape Holder" - the thing with prongs onto which the lower blades fit - & used the opportunity to level the swash plate. While the heli flies pretty well, it still has more up elevator travel (backwards flight) than down (forward flight). More down elevator servo travel would solve this. I tried the EPA adjustment procedure (enter sub trim - remove LiPo - replace LiPo) but nothing happens. The servo doesn't move. Any suggestions?

Any ideas on how to get more forward motion then?

Why do you think that the swash should be level?
I reset my TX sub trim to zero (default) Then I manually adjusted the Trim for stable hover by adjusting the servo arm length. This takes alittle time because you have to check hover, make servo arm adjustment,re-check hover untill you get it perfect. With perfect hover My swash plate is not level. Infact I found It requires lots of FWD trim to correct the backward movement when the swash was level. I'm always confused when I read recommendations to level the swash plate |

On the Solo Pro, the weight is more to the front, which explains why the swash is tilted backwards when the heli is in stable hover. Theory is nice, but not always applicable to these small helis. |

My Two solo pro's have swash plates that are not level as well as my Free spirit SR I'm just in the habit now of manually adjusting the servo arm length for stable hover instead of using the TX sub-trims. Main reason is I'm using my TX to fly more than one Heli. |

I tend to agree with what SoloPro has said re the swashplate and it being level.
It's crucial on a collective pitch helicopter, especially the larger ones, but as mentioned you need to have a perfectly balanced heli to achieve this. My V120D01 likes a level(ish) swashplate, but this has a 3 axis gyro and no flybar. On the smaller fixed pitch/coaxial helis, I think that adjusting the servo links to obtain a stable hover is the best method, regardless of how level or not the swash ends up being. Then use minor trim on the TX where needed, to compensate for different batteries etc. |
