There was a video posted somewhere of the Z008 flying around ... it looked pretty cool actually.

Yeah, the IR controlled helis are primary for indoor use. But a cheap IR 4-ch would at least give someone the experience of the 4-ch machine.

Oh I totally Agree with you on that account! I have just heard that its the most glitchy type of transmitter... but right now All I have in my Hanger are infrared's and I've been pleased with the Tx's performance thus far.

No problem with IR for very inexpensive indoor only toy grade 3 CH helis, but I prefer RF for more expensive and complicated 4 channel helis. There are good reasons that absolutely no RC airplanes come with IR controllers, not even the cheapest park flyers.

The FXD 6886 might be similiar in performance to the Jiaqi 8008 which uses the same style of swashplate.

I've found these smaller IR's to be nicely suited to relaxed evening flying. The air calms down as the sun sets here in NorCal, and this last autumn was better than most. Even with a fire going or a porch light on, I was able to stay in control most of the time, and drop-outs were no biggie (flying over grassy areas mostly).

I think "optocoupled" helicopters will hang around for some time, at least until Ghzzy gear gets small and cheap enough to compete. Not to mention light enough to be part of a <30gram, under $40 helicopter.

We finally saw piles of 3-channels in common retail channels last year. It's now a bit hard to stand out from the crowd (nice try Ed Hardy), so I think that's just one more factor in favor of piles of four-channels this year. These will provide the missing "link" between noobnie and LAMA series right now...the Nine Eagles, Revell, and other "good" 4-chees have been just on the wrong side of 50 clams, to be that needed stepping stone.
And they were too good to move on from, it seems.

This may have a positive effect on online sellers: they will need to focus on more hard core helicopters (and hoping the day those hit Safeway are still a ways off).
Silver lining? If the Ecoman /Shark/V3 CloneCopters hit first, all will be lost, as the quality turns people off in droves. Hopefully, these people will look up-market, not down.

This looks interesting... i am just looking for something just a little larger, 2.4ghz is nice, and works great outside, But that thing is similar in size to my 5888's and they get blown around a good bit if there is any kind of wind.
Dang i was so set on those 852's coming in.

Ok I see that servo arm in the front and the two arms in the back look more like swivel points for the front arm, but I don't see any side servo arm for aileron control. Am I missing something here?

Both work in tandem.. when one side goes up the other goes down..effectively tilting the swashplate, i beleive

I know I know the guys feedback does suck but at least I have seen him online twice in two days. So someone is home...I have not seen Nancy online yet.
I'll keep everyone updated good or bad.

I've been watching that 68785, price needs to dip below $40 USD shipped for me to be interested. These cheap 4 channels are still in the disposable category with no parts support or factory support, so their end prices should reflect this before I would pull the trigger. at the high 40 USD to the low 50's. it's better to just pay a few more bucks to pick up a well established/supported proven Nine Eagles Solo coaxial.

HAHAHA!!, good luck, hope it works out, keep us updated. I paid 5 bucks more for my Falcon 8913 from the Global Trade shop on Aliexpress only because of the better feedback of 88.2%. Let's hope these sellers are actually serious conducting business and follow through with the orders.

I went to ebay to buy my Falcon 8913, Its more expensive, but you pay for reliability and trust.

Sometimes buying THE cheapest isn't the best strategy...

agreed! When it comes to cheapo toy helis though, there is a price for the privilege to buy these cool toys for such a low price, that is, there is a certain degree of risk associated. That's why it is acceptable to me to pay a very low price with the risk of getting an occasional DOA or something that may not last very long under normal use. It's acceptable to me that Falcon may turn out to be a "one month" toy, if it only lasts a few weeks or worse, then it is acceptable to me that I paid only $28 for it, that's why I decided not to pay the ebay prices for this one although you are correct about Ebay's transactions have security/reliability built-in because of their well developed and established buyer protection policies.
