This is a 3D forum, but does that mean we just talk about 3D planes? Vitter is a 3D flyer that actually knife edged his P51 on the maiden and I am sure will hover it later.

I want to see it KE spin down in to an inverted harrier in to a hover. Just kidding Vitter. Looks like a nice ship, for a warbird LOL. What kind of wingspan and weight is it?

Hey Steve...
Just came in from getting some Watt's UP numbers off the SC...

Hacker 50-12L
85HV
8s 4000 Nano 25-50c
18X10 Turnigy Wood-E

2200 watts
84 amps

Yes I know the amps are too high for the ESC... the Ice100 will get installed when it CC sends it back.

With luck I'll get to maiden her tomorrow!!
How's yours coming along Steve?

Really slow. Got the tail put on last night. that usually takes me the longest. Measure, eyeball it, measure, and so on. Get some video if you can.

I'll try to have another flying buddy take a video.

In truth the tail on this plane was the by far the easiest I've ever put on. The horz stab was tight in the hole and level with the wings without any fuss. The hardesst part was getting the motor just right (length wise). Unlike the smaller planes you have no cowl wiggle room.

Keep enjoying your build and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks D-Man. I agree on the tail, just me, measure, take a step back, do a minute adjustment, etc.

Come to think of it, it does kind of look like Cry's Lumberworks 300L...lol.
Lumberworks! actually thats pretty funny.

tell you what though.
That bird is one tough plane. The last flight I had suffered a dead/weak ignition battery just as I was throttling up for a miss approach.
Found out how slow and stable the plane is while guiding it to the knee high grass at the end of the Marymoor field. Nice slow/flat landing that just re bent the right side landing gear.

Jholen can attest to that.

Sweating the ol arse off in FL this week. Humidity is probably near 200%

probably lost a few pounds from all the activity.

We've estimated that we have walked about 7 miles a day. The first few days were rough on this old body, but today, easily 6 miles of walking and I'm ready for more!

Some of the rides here are outstanding. The rock n roll coaster is insane
the tower of terror is pretty cool.

A bunch of other coasters that their names escape me.

missing the mar/c bro's and some flying.

One more full day tomorrow here, then its off to Port Canaveral for a week's cruise. I'm soo ready to come home. This northwest native isn't cut out for the tropical heat and humidity!

sweet P51 vitter.
I can't believe I had that nice warbird sitting in the box for over two years!

Glad you got her together.
Now you going to let me have a turn at the sticks?

going to sign off now. We are heading to the magic kingdom for the electric light parade and the visions show over the castle.

I hear ya Chuck. I spent 10 years in Orlando, moved here, went back for a visit 2 years later and barely lasted the week with the humidity. It takes some getting used to. Have fun.
