What's the rpm on your x-250?

Just measured the rpm on my x-250 with the SR "standard" power system: s400 geared 2.35:1; 10 SR Max cells; 9x5 prop.

6800 rpm on a fresh charge.

Didn't a recent thread note that 7200 on this system is normal?

Yes. Check your end point adjustments on your throttle channel first. The motor may do better with a little break in (see the FAQ)

There is also always the possibility of a bad motor. A flying friend of mine who just acquired my X250 had trouble getting it to fly well and we eventually discovered that the motor was 'not hitting on all three cylinders'. One of the motor poles went open and it would start and run but was low on power. This was a new motor with only a half dozen or so flights and no visible signs of abuse. Swapped in a good used motor today and it appears to be back to its good 'ol self.

Even a brand new motor can be a dud. Be sure to check that possibility too.

We usually see 7400 to 7800 at about 8.5 amps.

Thanks, all,

I will check the transmitter first, as I may not have set the endpoints correctly with this model. If that doesn't up the rpm, I will change motors (doing a water break-in on the new one) and test again.

Appreciate the help!
