This would be our first wooden rc plane...
Guppy is not recomended as a first wooden aeroplane build ever. It is qiute "tricky" in some details. Allso the covering of the fuselage with heat shrink foil demand experienced builder with cool nervs .

But off course those little obstacles can be owercome with patience, try and error methods, or better under a supervision of an experienced builder or fellow modeller.

In few next days. I must make only some minor changes that I make during the prototype building.

Mitja,

That is a beautiful piece of work!

I was getting ready to build Mk I, when you announced that you were going to make a version especially for electric, so decided to wait for that. I'm glad that I did.

Only one problem: I was so impressed with your CNC machine that I decided to build one myself first. (I'm more a builder than a flyer anyway, so this is a new challenge.)
After extensive research on the internet, I have come to the conclusion that yours is the best home-built machine in its category, so I will copy it.
I have been taking the plans that you published, and entering them into my 3D CAD program, so that I can see how all the parts go together. Have also ordered, or collected, all the parts, with the exception of the 30 mm Al tubing.
The local building supply store has only 25 mm stock, and it is *very* expensive! I will check out the scrap metal dealers next but, since there are no large cities near by, I have no great hopes there. Anyway, will find something.

So, thanks not only for the beautiful Guppy, but the elegant CNC design.

Regards,
Don

Don, I decided for a 30x30x2mm tubing as they are very cheap here.
Sorry to hear that at your place the case is different.

WOW! That's some beautiful work Mitja. Easily the most complete set of model drawings I've ever seen.

Thanks Tom!

I divided plans on separate sections (fuse, wings, tail...) so builder not need to work on one larhe sheet of paper, but just use the one that is needed at certain stage of assembly.

Plans are in pdf format and can be opened with Acrobat reader and print on paper using any "office" printer using A4 paper or letter size.
No scalling option should be used when printing to obtain proper scale plans (Full scale)
Plans are "tiled" so, you must join some of them together using glue or clear adhesive tape.

Price of the plans is 19.00$

Order&payment can be made by PayPal by visiting my website here:
http://ultralajt.webs.com/rcmodels.htm

As soon I recieve the message about payment I send you zipped set of pdf plans to your E-mail address.

So much for now.

Off course, I wil use this thread also to help builders wit additional info and suggestions, if they need any.

At the moment, no DXF plans or DXF templates are available.

Regards!

Balsadust Everywhere!!!!
Mitja:
Beautiful sailplane!!!

2 Questions:

i. Do you think an AXI 2208/34 + 9x5 CAM proppeler on 3cells would do the job on the 1.7m wing???
ii. I can print the plans direcly on a plotter... ...do you also offer the "full-size" plans with the tiled version?

Thanks for the info.

Yes, it was a "typo"

But if someone install a bad equippment it is s**t, and s**t is in strong connection with WC

But let leave jokes aside....

Well the mentioned drawing shows the R/C equippment as I install in my model. It is a drawing, that also beginners can understand and there is a description also for those with only 4 channels on reciever, so an "Y" harness connection is allso shown there. I know, connecting two wing servos can represent an obstacle to some modellers. So, this drawing came handy to them.

On that drawing is allso a list of suggested motor, ESC and battery, so anyone can easier decide what to purchase.

Regards!

Mitja

BTW, sales of plans goes unexpectedly well!

Thanks guys!
You all made my day!
You all can count on my support when building GUPPY 2 !!
