I could only see that working if every pilot built there own planes.
The only way it worked this year is because GWS sponsored it and provided ALL of the gear.

And... what kind of pyro would you use? Because we can put pyro in the planes and there aren't any lasers.
Hmm???

Bombs

Hey Guys,

I saw that first video on the front page of this thread, and well I am quite interested.

I've got a question though;

Does anyone know how they created the explosives that were dropped from the bombers? Or know what they were made of?

Great job on the latest Expo, perhaps I could be of assistance for the next one.

My Regards,

Philip.

Do you mean the props that came out of the plane or the actual explosives?

Hi Philip,
There were no actual explosives dropped from aircraft during this event.
All pyrotechnics were handled professionally by a local pyrotechnics outfit here in Phoenix.
Correct me if I'm wrong Fatcat, but I believe this particular company does alot of the cool explodey-stuff for major Phoenix area events (Sporting events, etc.)

Philip,

The only items actually dropped from planes were paratroopers out of the C-47's, and little nerf bombs from the B-25. Nothing dropped from planes had any explosive charges in them.

All of the "explosions" were done as explained above. The outfit that handled that also does the pyro work for the Arizona Cardinals football games.

BB's

Also,

Those guys on the Ground in the army Suites were the ones shooting the BB's at the Aircrafts, right?

It would be quite amusing if the BB's were getting shot from the Aircrafts whilst in the Air.

Oh Well, looking forward to seeing this video of R/C Mahem.

Kind Regards,

Philip.
