First Test Flight of the **P-40 Blu-Tiger**

This was strictly pilot error as I panicked thinking I was going to get over the houses you see it the back ground. I also think the ship was a little tail heavy. I'm including a picture of the debris field for your enjoyment.... LOL, but actually the plane was not seriously damaged beyond the firewall. The BP21- was not damaged and is awaiting paint over in the paint shed. A real tribute to the monobloc construction method. Bob

More information on the build can be found athttps://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=995275#post11500061

That's too bad, it was a beautiful plane. I think you were right, it looked tail heavy.

Foamenator -

Good luck on the rebuild - I think you captured the look of the P-40, interested to read and will be watching.

More speed please

Looked very similar to a mishap I had with my Cub, not enough airspeed and it stalled and dropped the wing.... Try again.... mudman1959

That video is a heart-breaker. A lot of love went into building that P-40. With your extensive experience with these planes though, it should be back up in the air real soon. It's a great looking plane.

Thanks Dick.... She is all back together waiting for the paint shed. I changed the nose a little to simulate the earlier B models. I think it will look a little more "snarly" this time. Bob
