As mentioned the manual states 2 CoG. 50mm back from LE and 90mm back.
90mm back is too far. 50mm makes more sense.
The plane will balance at 50mm back with 2-3s 3300 packs but just barely. It could use a little more weight in the nose so 3s 3500's would be perfect up to about 3s 4000's in series.

Hey Jim, that thing looks like it might be a bit faster than some of your other projects. Sounds pretty good. Let me know when you want to take it out. I'll try to shoot vid for you if you want.

The battery you are using would be about perfect to balance the plane. I need a slightly larger capacity for better balance and to up my watts slightly.

Nice video, very detailed. Especially when you stress not to forget the elevator pin, that would be a nightmare to install after tailplane was already epoxied in.

Thanks Mike, I usually go to SEFF just to get nice video footage but I may take a few of my own planes this time.

Sounds good! It is ready to maiden, just not 100% on the CoG.

My wings are not epoxied.
See here:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...9&postcount=21

I have screws up front on the wings and it is very secure. I could not reach the rear of the wing to install screws there.

I may add a touch of epoxy at the rear of the wing to be safe but not so much that I couldnt cut through (from bottom side of wing) if I absolutely had to remove the wing.

I Added The Screw With Just A Little Epoxy No That It Felt It Would Come Off But Depending On This Power Systen I'm Going To Run, If That Thing Weight I 5 To 6lbs I'll Be At A 1:1 Ratio Of Power.

Did You Ever Get A Total Weight On Yours?

Well, mines done, but I'm at 7lbs 5oz's with a 6S1P 4800mah main battery and a 1500mah 2S BEC battery. Everything is balanced at 50mm so I'll find out tomorrow if that's to heavy. Anyone else have a weight yet?

Also, after using a screw on the front of the wings to the fuse I dabbed some clear seal silicone to the trailing edge for structural stability. I don't have the side slats on mine because of weight. Since they don't offer anything but blocking the fan I will try leisure flying for this one.

I don't reckon it is going to be any speedster. Watch that video of the full-scale one. It wasn't any rocket either.

I'll be able to lose a little weight by going to my 3500mah set up, but I really need 7S on this bird, so I may change to a HV controller if the first flight goes ok. I'll start off with 2x 3S1P 3600mah for initial maiden.
