Question

Diesel Fuel in Cold Weather

I have a can of diesel fuel, and not wanting to keep in in the house, I have put it in an outdoor storage unit. However, the nights are very cold at the moment (down to freezing some nights). Can this affect the quality of the fuel? The can is wrapped in a couple of plastic bags.

No problem with it, ether won't tend to evaporate as much in colder weather. When you do reuse the fuel, keep it for some hours inside a warm place, mainly for the castor oil to fluidify and filter it, just in case some deposits form.

I've had diesel fuel separate out when left in very cold (sub-zero) temperatures. When warmed up, the ingredients would not recombine and I had to throw it out.
