There will be a bid request sent out for the F3K team selection early next year.

Based on the qualification process currently planned, the team selection will likely be in September or October. Exact dates will depend on the bids received.

So if your club is interested in hosting the TS now would be a good time to start thinking about it.

Things that are important for a successful bid:

A qualified CD.
A qualified jury.
Volunteers willing to help for three days.
A good flying site without a source for slope lift and can be dedicated to three days for the contest.
An adequate sound system for announcing tasks etc.
Food and lodging nearby.
Nearby airport

That should be enough for now. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Tom. I wish my club had a site like that as we have the people power just not the site.

Now to get guys to commit to contests this coming year.

Is there any limitation to the number of qualifiers a club/location can offer?

No, there are no limits.

You just need to make sure you have an AMA sanction.

Lots of contests on the schedule

So it looks like there are lots of contests registered for the 2010 F3K league. And more to come no doubt.

Who is excited about this F3K contest season?
