F3K team Selection Program

Those of you who participated in FAI events before, probably got this in the mail. I suspect many hand launch pilots did not. AMA mailed entry forms and the official program description for the F3K Team Selection program. I will try to attach them to this msg. Ryan, we probably ought to publish these on the f3k league web-site...

Both the program entry fee and the finals entry fee must be paid to participate in the team selection finals ($20 + $75). The hosting club can also charge for their expenses (port-a-pot, pencils, paper, lunches, etc.) The total entry fee will be likely on the order of $100 or a little more.

Ryan will be posting this on the F3K site as well.

Just to be clear, the host club can charge a higher entry fee if their anticipated expenses for the contest are higher than 50% of the proposed $75 entry fee. The unused portion of the entry fee goes to the F3K team fund to help with the teams world championship expenses. We are requiring that 50% of the entry fee go to the team fund, but it is even better if more goes to the team fund.

So it is in the best interest of the program for the finals host club to keep the expenses to a minimum so we can raise as much money as possible for the team fund and keep the entry fees as low as possible.

There are actually 4 documents. Finals entry form, program entry form, program announcement, and program overview. All 4 are now on the f3k.us website in the announcements area on the main page and under the resources sidebar.

While I'm here... It would be cool if the CDs for contests who think that their events are listed on the schedule would take a quick glance at f3k.us to confirm. I think everything is on there but it would not hurt for the CDs to check.

Ryan,

I just wanted to say thank you for the great work with the website and all. I must say, it couldn't have been all that long and bam, LISF had their contest listed. Talk about being really quick and on the ball.

It is much appreciated by all.

Thanks for keeping all of us up to date and well informed with all the ongoings in the US F3K.

Thanks from the F3K community

I think Ryan did it at the end of last year. It would be great for you to post that phil, just as an unofficial, non-gaap accounting so we can see yoy performance.

The results spreadsheets on the f3k.us website have a tab on the far right that has total "points". Currently there is a big tie of pilots who have 2 points.

So far I see 22 contests that have been listed to be team qualifiery contests.

Are there other contests in other parts of the Us who are interested in being a team qualifier but have not yet posted?

Since it needs to be done at least 1 month prior, all the contests in the Beginning 2/3 of June are done for addition.

Anyone at the end of June, July or August thinking of adding but haven't yet?

Do we only have some 20 something clubs interested in the Us F3K team?

Just curious.....

I didn't see them listed. Did they get theirs posted in time?

Is the list on the f3k.us homepage, the full list or in the calendar there are more?

I might have missed some.....
