Mine on the average usually run 12 to 14 hours each, depending on the design and how many colors to paint....I make a posterboard template for every part that gets painted. The design is drawn up on the posterboard, cut out and retaped back together, then applied to the foam and airbrushed...I am getting started to paint a flying "Ironman" for Efest and that will take me just about 40 hours...

Wow! That is a crazy amount of time. I don't have that much patience or talent.

Yeah, LHS are having issues in this economy squeezed between China and Profit. "back in the day..." i used to mix all my camo from Hobbypoxy paints. it was an inexact science but the planes flew and you couldn't tell at 20 feet

I drew my paint on my master laser cut file and today i am going to attempt to cut paint masks as well as my parts. We'll see how I do. might be a week or so before I get a chance to use them. I am laser cutting 1/4" dowel holes in all layers to align the sheets for painting. Going with 1 color, black and unpainted white. Time will tell but these will be production masks

New paint scheme by Adam Dreher

Adam Dreher has another graphic design paint scheme on a kit by Fancy Foam (Fenix v2). I've been working on this project with him for awhile, and I just wanted to share with everyone his new graphic work.

He does an incredible job as always, Dennis R.

well, this thread is all about getting to the point of being able to do that. The Fancy Foam paint is printed. it was just the work of a great designer being showed off. Go back to the beginning and watch the videos and get some paint and have some fun. I was very pleased with my frist flame attempt and they just keep getting better as you practice

Heres is another airbrush to print... I better make sure to let everyone know that I did not design the paint scheme just wanted to see it on an airframe before I saw it live.
