PbF ...* Indoor Flier * videos, plans

Here is a little PbF I desinged for indoor flying. I just finished it and then test flew it in my basement.

18" x 18", KF airfoil, 1500 kV Blue wonder, 3 ea 5grams servos.

A couple of neat features of this design are:

The recessed motor and prop. This lets the air frame take the bumps. Should be good for combat.

The virtual retractable landing gear with a high nose angle for quick take offs.

I tried to make a PBF that looks good. With the way the recess in front made it look I decided to go with a fighter look... ready for combat!

This is also my first attempt at airbrushing.

I test flew it in my basement (barely) Mrs. Leadfeather ran the video camera.

I'll get to test it more thoroughly tomorrow and hopefully more video.

The most up to date plans are now shown below in this post.

components: Post #23

PbF all epp pizza box flyer (1 min 29 sec)

Bravo! Author! Plans! (I know it looks simple, but you have a bunch of clever ideas melded into a very neat package)
Thanks for putting in the effort to show what can be done,

First of all there should be a law against having a nice basement like that. Second of all nice nice little floater! I like that design.

I assume it's "Pb", meaning lead; and 'F" for feather; like his username. Regardless, very cool design!

No rear bracing?

Been wanting to try this tail wheel. It could easily be done for a weight penalty of about 2g. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMRK6
