Question

Lipo charger cut off question.

Are there any inexpensive Lipo chargers out there that can charge/discharge and stop at 3.78 V per cell. ( Storage purposes )
There probally are but none I have found in their specs.

Thanks in advance

Define inexpensive.

Standard LiPoly storage voltage is 3.85 per cell. Note: This is exactly mid point between 3.7 and 4.0 and an exact voltage is not necessary.

Most chargers with a discharge or a discharge to storage function are very limited in their discharge rate (watts). If you have high cell counts and / or large capacity LiPolys some of them will take hours to discharge a fully charged battery.

Yes, it will need some time.
But then again, when does one want to bring Lipos to storage voltage?
Usually at the end of the flying day, and then one has all time in the world.
If they are ready for storage the next morning, thats fine by me.

Inexpensive About +- $ 150.00 if it can charge/discharge and also good for
Nicads and Lipos up to 6S
It does not have to be exact as you say. I just picked a number
Its a pain in the butt charging/discharging and have to monitor it untill
it reached +- 3.7 V

It has been snowing and cold here since mid November.
My lipos have not seen action since then.
In the summer I fly most weekends .Its just a little time consuming
to do this every Sunday night with 4 packs.

I charge/discharge my lipos to +- 3.7 V per cell. ( Recomended for storage )
With the weather here I may not fly for at least 1 to 4 weeks.

Consider the MaxPro X6

Charges, balances, discharges, storage, upgradeable firmware, PC monitoring software, all at a good price.
