Went flying today!

I played hookie from class this afternoon and went flying instead. Two of my friends came with me and ran their T-maxx trucks too. Loads of fun!

I managed to get a few pics of my plane while we were out!

Nice mustang you have there. We had about 8 inches of snow here in new york today (it snowed all day) so flying was not an option.

Nope, not a doctor or professor. I'm just a big "kid" with expensive "toys" who probably needs better supervision, or at least a girlfriend to tell me when I should study instead of flying models. :]

Looks like a lot of fun. Where in Monterey are you flying. I was stationed there for 2 years at the PG School back when golf was my only vice .

Usually I fly out at Fort Ord. There is a fair size airfield there as well as am off-road track for r/c cars. Or if I don't feel up to driving, I just go down to MPC (local jr college) and fly at the football field. Sometimes I get a nice crowd!

Is that the astroturf field? If so, that is where my oldest son learned to ride a bike. We lived on Ft Ord right across the street from the entrance to Bayonette and Black Horse golf courses.

Fort Ord

I'm a CSUMB student looking for a place to fly. Where on Fort Ord is the field?

Thanks,

Andrew

It's been a while since I've been there, and I don't know the street names. There is a street near the student housing area that is partially closed off. If you drive passed the road block, you make a right hand turn about 1 or 2 miles down the road and you'll see a sign that says r/c airfield or some such. I forget the name, but if you go on a Sunday, you can probably just follow the planes to find it.
