This photo really shows the secret of the Fokker success and the leading of its manufacturing banned in the treaty. The thick wings as opposed to the thin wing of the other planes of the time. This allowed it to fly slower, better stall speeds and more maneuverability. Fokker had gotten this when he worked at Junkers aircraft, Mr. Junker is overlooked in aviation history, it didn’t help that the Nazis took over his plant before the war, he didn’t play with them.

That Fokker was from a Balsa USA kit I later confirmed.

That's exactly what it is. Works flawlessly! You have very good feedback of the line tension and you can nicely dose the power. In a bit of wind with a slow glider you can even pedal backwards for maximum start height.
