Hi Ed!
I thought I recognized your emblem(Valkrie) what a bird!
well, gang, I do believe I am a very happy camper!
the short story is , YES, I am the manager of the machining department!
Even though ihave 2 other possibilities with machining and inspecting Aircraft
parts, the mad scientist group that I'm living with are one helluva hoot!
pretty excited about it all, so I'll keep the major updates here and the 'general info' @ Crimson site
We are a full engineering group of custom machine builders, with deep knowledges of a couple of my past employers!

Welcome back Ed. Yah this is one of the coldest, wettest Aprils in a long time. Were still only in the low 50's and tons of rain. Oh well, the Ravin isn't done yet anyway.

Wow, CC! I wish all the job classifieds I replied to read like that! Makes me wish I knew enough to call myself a machinist! (Alas, I am but a lowly English geek; putting my English Lit credits to work correcting the grammar of hurried and harried doctors!)

That's the fun part (my term) of being a nonpracticing A/C Mech: I no longer prctice wrenching, so therefor I have given myself permissions to wreak havoc on the English language!
such as : Janitor= production byproduct engineer
Welder = metalurgical fusion engineer
Machinist Metalurgical excavation engineer
Puppy dog pooping= extrusion engineering
better than= more gooder
best= mostest goodest way!
etc. etc!

Howcomeferwhy is it that when a fella needs to go to the hobby shop for a manual fuel pump- for priming the hydraulics on a cylinder for a saw, does he walk out with 168 dollars spent?!

News Flash!!!

Calling all Blue Plaid Squadron members, I have a another major announcement! Be forewarned, you should all be sitting down before reading any further, the risk of heart attack or stroke is possible if you read any further. You have been warned. Bob, yes Seattle Bob, has stated he is planning to attend a contest. !!! Clear, bring in the shock paddles, charge to 300, ZZaaaapppppp!! OK, I'm back, I saw a bright light there for a minute. But it is true, he has stated for the record that he is planning to attend the Seattle Area Soaring Society 2011 Wood Wings competition and fly-in. Now full disclosure requires me to clarify that he is going as a photographer, but he is going none the less. Bob, I hope you have a very good time and just for the heck of it throw a plane in the car, who knows it may be a good flying day.

Here is a link to the proof.

I'm glad you OK Wayne. Actually I am going to cover the event as a journilist for the RC Groups. I'll post the coverage the next day, with photos. I covered the "Open House" of the new field for SASS a while back. I volunteer to do this from time to time, because I am a "wanna be" Jimmy Olson.
Even if it is a good flying day, I wont be flying. With all those planes in the air, I'd be a nervious wreck, worried about a mid-air crash.

Stay tuned.

Bob, I can't wait to see your pictures. You always get great pictures of your own planes, I can only imagine what your pictures will look like when you are a dedicated photo journalist.

Don't forget that Bob is already a seasoned journalist, having been published in Model Airplane News. Looking forward to the report.

I've just got back from a cruise to New Caledonia and Vanuatu, so I've been off the radar a bit. Finally bit the bullet and got broadband at my house though so expect to hear more from me.

Congrats on the job, CC.
