First step was finding the old files. After some extensive archaeology in my old, retired computers, I found them. However, I found that there was still some engineering required on some details (such as servo mountings, control details, extra bracing, etc.), that would be better done up front than ad-libbed during the build. I'm coming down the home stretch on that now, and should be able to send off the files to our laser vendors shortly.

As far as the other projects, they are progressing, but I've had some other issues consuming my time lately, so progress is not as fast as I would like.

Once we get it all sorted out, along with the revised instructions, I expect so. We can't afford to invest this much engineering without trying to get some return from it, and the engineering involved is turning out to be fairly substantial.

The wing is somewhat more elaborate, with more parts (including things like running the diagonal bracing all the way to the tip), not to mention the value of all the extra engineering work, so it will have to be more expensive.

I can see the need for it to cost more than the standard wing kit,the idea of haveing two wings for the chrysalis sounds like to much fun to let a few $ get in the way.

While waiting for the new wing, I started on the standard kit that Don sent. All I can say is that it is a really nice kit and worth every penny and more. It is very complete, there are a lot of laser cut pieces, quite a bit of basswood, and even control cables for the rudder and elevator.

Good, fast or cheap, pick two

You are going to like the kit U2... it was a really enjoyable build! I agree with Scottie also, having two wings for the same fuse would be interesting!

Cheers,

Hi Palo,

WOW that looks very very nice indeed. It also looks very hard to build. But, I like it.

I like that! Just the kind of persnickety attention to detail required that would make for a relaxing build for me! lol

Bridge isnīt problem... parabolic bend isnīt problem. We can make agreement.
But - at first - I must finish the wings
