I'd be willing to trade my 11" for a snappy 10" .

so in a 400 to 450 class motor 1100 kv a good place to start ?

I'm sticking with my trusty 11 x 3.8 apc slow flyer. Seemss to be doing ok. Had 10 x 4.7 on it but thought the 11 x 3.8 was a little better.

Postal, yes, an excellent place to start. I'm using a 450 with great results.

at my elevation, the 10x4.7 wasn't cutting it. I'm using an 11x4.7slow and it's got great punch out of hover now.

I didn't even take into consideration the elevation. I'm pretty much right at sea level (8ft ASL) so I guess it makes a bit of difference.

yes. I've only recently begun 3D flight and the sabre is the only plane where i've noticed a large difference in props. On the 10x4.7sf, it could hardly pull it self out of hover at full throttle where i fly (~5300 ft)

Ripped 'em off after the first landing. The GWS props have a little flex for my plops on grass. APC's break too easy no give at all.

Yes! I wished I knew this earlier. I recently took them off and it flew amazingly better

Seems like I would prefer the landing gear to save having to rebuild the nose all the time. I plan on catching it most of the time though so I may leave it off...

Inverted harriers just don't look right to me without the landing gear up in the air.
