Are you sure it has CCPM mixing?
Manuals don't seem to be available online, but this thread says it doesn't.

of course this heli kit. $36.00

Was thinking about this motor and ESC. $46.00
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360135298119

I have two of these batteries already.

If these are acceptable, then I'll need recommendations (and links!) for cheap (but good of course) servos and a gyro w/servo. I have a 72Mhz 6 channel receiver, how does that work with the 11v battery pack? Thanks so much for your time guys!!

Okay, so then to add, three of these servos. $30.00
http://cgi.ebay.com/HXT900-9g-1-6kg-...3A1%7C294%3A50

and a one of these $36.00 gyros
http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet...yro/Categories

About $150. Then all I need is a tailrotor servo, right?

Thanks for that, on the LCD screen it has a place to adjust RX-MX and D/R. I have no idea what they do.

Hey guys, I've got a HS65 Karbonite geared servo looking for a home. Would it make a decent tail servo for this bird? I'm not really interested in optimum performance as this will be my first CP heli. I've also got the Telebee gyro on order and plan to use it until I need something better.

Bad news. You need a new transmitter
No CCPM mixing on the Radiant.

D/R is dual rate. RX-MX is revolution mixing, something you don't need and can't use with a HH gyro.

The manual for the Radiant is available online here .

$7.99 How cheeky! Double the price + add double of delivery for something you can buy for < $3.99:

Is it 100% margin? Buy from HobbyCity and then sell double the price on e-bay? Outrageous!

This isn't going to be that 'cheap' by the time I'm done. Maybe I would be better off with something like this. Or is it junk??
http://www.xheli.com/exrc2450sert.html

I'll be into this built one for over 3 hundred, this is two and a half. What do you guys think?

There's several really good deals at xheli, depends on what you want for electronics as that's were the cost is.

Rukee, we cheapskates on here seem to be doing ok with the cheaper stuff from Hobby City. I mean............30 bucks for a motor and esc.........Tain't bad in my book. 3 dollar servos...............I ordered 12, just got them today.
The batteries are relatively inexpensive also.
If you read through the thread, you will see that most are having success with this cheap stuff.

No, I was just saying the airframe is the low cost part of the heli setup Now there are so many good quality 450 kits to choose from it's amazing. I like the Black Angel and may pick one up for a backup heli.
