WOW!! That laser cutting makes all the difference. No belt sander needed here. that looks like an enjoyable build. I'm only famillair with Dumas kits. Lot's of "no-go" suprises and warped wood.

center finding ruler

One of my favorite tools.
Looks like it's going together rather nicely.

I've never heard of a center finding ruler. I have done it manually for years, counting hash marks in both directions on my standard ruler. I can really use one of these things. It's on my must have list!

I'm thinkin' any local art supply place will have them too. I've got the 12" and the handy 6" version as well.

I'll be following this one, looks like a great kit. One question though, how close does the bow light from Mack match the bow light in the kit? I'm thinking of geting one for my runabout but the pictures on their site don't make it look all that "scale".

Metomwhou- The bow light in the kit is an exact copy of the original bow light on the DODGE.

I got the problem with Frame 7A worked out. A rep from MACK called me this morning as I was getting ready to go to work, and we discussed Frame 7A. They checked their drawings and determinned that Frame 7A needs to have a 3/16" extension added to feet. I double checked some of the other areas of the rough frame and found a few other little problems that are easy to solve.
